In Heather’s workshops and classes, she shares some of her favorite places to sketch, in and around Kennebunkport, Wells, Ogunquit, and York. Take in breathtakingly beautiful scenes from gardens with rocky perches overlooking the ocean, to picturesque marshes and harbors. Inspired by the area’s rich and historic art legacy- The Ogunquit Colony, and more- she shares her joy of sketching and expertise on capturing what is seen in an outdoor setting, while on the move!

Meetings begin with an instructional talk and discussion, and then students will break off to sketch at their own pace.

All skill levels are welcome!

  “This workshop is a favorite- set in OMAA’s world-renowned sculpture gardens with its breathtaking views of Maine’s iconic rocky cliffs and sea. Participants will receive admission to the museum with a docent-led tour of the permanent collection and learn about the historic Ogunquit Art Colony.    All skill levels are welcome!”

       Suggested art materials list: - a lightweight, easy carry tote: Sketchbook- 8×10, or smaller, multimedia, or watercolor; graphite pencil, charcoal, pencil sharpener, eraser; choice of color media- watercolors (pan style set), 3 brushes- large, medium and small, pen, crayons, colored pencils, water soluble colored pencils, or pastel, colored markers.
